1. Schools should submit the form below to give us an idea of how
many students will be competing from each school.
2. Each school will hold their own competition to determine the
following winners:
Champion Poem
Reserve Champion Poem
(based on the content of the poem)
Champion Poet
Reserve Champion Poet
(based on the presentation of the poem)
3. Deadline for submitting the Champions from each school is: Feb. 1, 2008
4. After the winners from each school have been chosen we ask that the teacher
submit a Microsoft Word document file (one for each winner) which contains the poem
and the following information: (email the file to: dnbsustr@fiberpipe.net)

4. Feb. 9 will be The Cowboy Kidz Finals Contest to be held at the Buffalo High
School Auditorium from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 am. The winners will receive a trophy
and certificate. Students will be asked to present their poems on stage to the audience
and a panel of judges. Their poems will be judged, placed and the Grand & Reserve
Champion Poet and Grand & Reserve Champion Poem will be announced between
10:30 a.m. and 11:00 am. Please have your child at the school auditorium by 8:30
a.m. to check-in. Reading of poems will begin at 9:00 a.m.
These winners will be asked to perform their poems again at 7:00 p.m. at the
beginning of the Feature Performance starring Charlie Cook, Gwen Peterson, Jim
Hamilton, Leslie Keltner and Ken Overcast. The winners and their parents will
be given complimentary tickets to this performance.
(NOTE: Schedule may vary slightly based on the number of participants).
5. If the Grand or Reserve Champion winners are from out of town, a room will be
reserved for them compliments of the Sagebrush Cowboyography Assn.
